  • My experience with (and review of) iTVGoggles Video Glasses

It’s always been a fantasy of mine to be able to carry my digital TV around with me… weird fantasy I know, but every time I pull out my PSP or IPOD or whatever and I have to focus on that little screen… after about 5 minutes I get really annoyed, not to mention a bad headache.

So I prayed to the digital video Gods for an answer, and…

    BOOM!

    … out comes  ITVGoggles.

If you’re a techie like I am, you’ll LOVE this thing.. hands down.

To break it down to you simply, it’s a set of goggles – like the ones that dude wears in StarTrek except much cooler – and when you put them on, you get the same feeling as if you were sitting five feet away from a 50″-80″ (dependents  on the model)  TV screen.   They also have models which work wireless, and let you transfer your digital video files straight into the built-in computer.   Keep in mind most iTVGoggles can also connect to any other device, like DVD players, game consoles, and even  cameras and camcorders. What i found really sweet is also the fact that you can connect them to the receiver of a wireless video camera!

Oh and did i mention they can support 3D content? like watching 3D movies? 3D Games? holly $%!@!

    Cool, right?

I’ve seen a few knock-offs of this idea, and I’m not going to mention who… but ITVGoggles is the real deal when it comes to video glasses.

I know it’s hard to trust the words of a dude that posted an article on a techie blog like this one… because quite frankly, I could be any random jerk-off just typing at my computer because I like putting stress on my fingers.

LOL but seriously… these video glasses by iTVgoggles ROCK.

There really isn’t anything I can do or say to make you understand the level of awesomeness that these goggles bring to the table so I’m going to refer you to their site.

They have really neat pictures that are super shiny and awesome… and I think there’s a video there, too.

But even the pictures and the videos can’t describe what the goggles are truly capable of.

You have to put these things on and try them for yourself… if you don’t like it, I’m sure there’s a way you can get your money back…

… but you’ll like it. It’ll become your new best friend like it has for me (don’t tell my human best friend though… he’ll get really pissed)

    Anyways… I’m out.

    Stay cool,

  • How do I connect iTVGoggles to a DVD Player?

All models except the ITG-WideView can connect to an external source such as most DVD Players.

If you are connecting it to your home DVD player, simply connect the composite adapter cable provided with your DVD player to the female connectors provided with your goggles. This is the cable with 3 male RCA plugs, color coded as White, Red, and Yellow.

The other end of the female adapter is then connected to the 3.5mm connector plug connected to the iTVGoggles.

    Illustration coming soon.
